Meet The Team

Meet the PROFFS Team

Corinne, Pam and Wendy all work for Pier Health and are delighted to be starting this new screening service across Weston-super-Mare. We will visit every Pier Health surgery in turn, send out questionnaires and respond to you if you have any risks.

Pam                              Wendy                          Corinne

Corinne is a very experienced physiotherapist who has worked with Pier Health alongside GPs for the past 5 years. She has a personal interest in prevention following her Nan’s experience of when she fell, was admitted to hospital because of a fractured her hip, only to be informed that she had osteoporosis. This was the spark that ignited Corinne’s determination to develop a screening programme which can identify people with osteoporosis and falls risks before they fall and fracture.

Pam is a passionate pharmacist with over 18 years of experience working in general practice, with a strong focus on supporting older adults. She takes a holistic approach, looking beyond prescriptions to understand the whole person. “Building relationships is what I enjoy most,” Pam says. “It’s about more than medicine, it’s about listening, understanding, and making a positive difference in someone’s day.” Pam is proud to be part of Corinne’s PROFFS project, which she sees as a fantastic example of preventative care that truly puts people first.

Wendy is the assistant manager at Stafford Medical Centre. She got to know Corinne when she provided First Contact Physiotherapy clinics at the surgery. Corinne’s infectious enthusiasm to start a screening programme ignited a spark in Wendy who felt her administrative skills and knowledge could support the smooth organisation of the PROFFS project. Wendy is really looking forward to being part of the team and working with the wider population of Pier Health.
